⚒️ How to create your Apple ID

An Apple ID is your personal user account with Apple. You can use it to sign in to Apple services, download apps, connect devices and much more.
👉 Some tools (e.g. TestFlight or FaceTime) only work if an Apple ID is set up.

Your Mac or a device with internet access.
Your business email address. You'll find this in the welcome email we sent you. The exact format may vary, but it usually includes your name and the name of your company, e.g. vorname.nachname@firma.com.
🚨 Important: Do not use a private email to create an Apple ID!

Setting up your Mac starts the first time you switch it on. We have described how to set up your Mac correctly in the steps in detail here.
⚠️ Important: Do not create an Apple ID here yet and skip this step!
The Apple ID will only be created at a later stage.

This step connects you to our systems - this is the only way we can activate all functions for you.

Log in with your business email address to access your emails - you can do this via your internet browser or the installed apps.
👉 Depending on your company, you’ll either use a Google account or a Microsoft account.
If you're unsure which one applies to you, simply check your welcome email – it includes information about which system your company is using.
👩‍💻 If you have already logged in to your mailbox with your email, you can skip this step.

💡 Why wait?
Apple checks whether your email address is valid - this can only work if it has been used once before in the system. It is therefore necessary for an hour to pass after logging into your email inbox before you can continue.
👉 Good to know:
While you are waiting, you can already use your Mac, get familiar with it, or continue with other onboarding steps - it is not a problem that your device is not yet connected to an Apple ID during this time.

🚨 Important: Please only use your business email address (the one mentioned in your welcome email). Do not create a new personal email account.

If something doesn't work:

Wait 2-3 hours and try again. Please don’t repeat the process too often – Apple might temporarily block your email address.
