🪟 How to register your Windows laptop with deeploi

When you register your Windows device with deeploi, it gets connected to our Mobile Device Management (MDM) system. This ensures your device is secure, compliant, and ready for work without manual setup.

The registration ensures that:

• 🛡️ Your data stays protected against cyber threats
• ⚡️ Apps install and update automatically, so your device stays secure
• 🔒 If your device is lost or stolen, we can lock it remotely to protect your data

👩‍💻 Before You Begin

If you're starting your device for the first time and need to set it up, follow this guide. After you've completed all steps, continue with the steps below.

1️⃣ Open the deeploi registration email

• Log in to your work mailbox via the Microsoft Edge browser (e.g. mail.google.com or outlook.com) to make sure you have access to your emails for the following steps. You can find your credentials in our welcome email or from your employer.

• Open the deeploi email with the subject "💻 Required COMPANY device registration".
  
  💡 Can't find the email? Check your spam/junk folder. If it's not there, ask your IT owner to resend the registration link.

  

• Scroll down to the second section and click the "Register" button. Alternatively, you can also register your device via start.deeploi.io on your work device and follow the shown steps.

  

2️⃣ Confirm your device

• Confirm that this is your work laptop and click "Yes".
  
  ⚠️ Important: Only register your work device and never your personal one. An MDM connection installs settings, provides visibility into installed apps and device information, and enables actions such as resets or device locks, which can result in the permanent loss of your personal data.

  

• The code from the email will be filled in automatically.

  

3️⃣ Download the deeploi Companion app

• The Companion will be downloaded automatically.
• Once the download is complete, open your Downloads folder.

• Click "Open file" or the small folder icon to locate the file.

  

4️⃣ Install the Companion

• Double‑click the file to start the installation.

  

• When prompted, click "Yes" to allow the app to make changes to your device.

  

• The Companion will install automatically. Please wait.

  

5️⃣ Start the registration

• Once the installation is complete, the deeploi Companion will open automatically and start the registration process. If it doesn't, look for the green and blue deeploi icon in your taskbar at the bottom of your screen and click on it.

  

  

• Once your device has been verified, registration is complete.

  

🎉 Your device is now registered and ready for work!
