Your devices table gives you a more detailed insight into all users on your deeploi platform. This article gives you an overview of the insights you can have and actions you can take.

💡 Insights

The table shows you the following data points: Device Name, Serial Number, Operating System Version, Assigned Employee, Location, and Security Status. For the security status, the lock symbolizes the encryption status, and the shield the protection status.

By clicking on one of the devices you get more insights about the device, its security status, and events as well as the software installed on the device.  Screenshot 2023-11-12 at 22.56.41.png

In the Device Info tab of a device, you can additionally find Notes, System Storage, and Device Specs such as Processor or Memory.

In the Security tab of a device, you can additionally see whether the device is in Supervised Mode and you find an Event Log about Security Incidents on the device and how they were dealt with by WithSecure.

In the Software tab of a device, you see an overview of all the Software that is installed on the device. Furthermore, you have an overview of when it was installed and which version is installed.

💪🏻 Actions

Within your devices table, you can take the following actions

  • Filter devices
  • Assign device
  • Assign Location
  • Add Notes
  • Rename Device
  • Remove device

🗃 Filter devices

You can filter your devices by Assign type, Device type, and Security status. This way you can check which devices you still need to assign to an employee or which devices do not yet have cybersecurity installed.

👩🏼‍💻 Assign device

Within the Device Info tab of a device, you can either assign it to a specific employee or state that it is a shared device. Without assigning a device to its employee no Software specified in the bundle will install itself on a device. You would select the Shared device option, if a device is used by for example several working students or is for example a stationary device at a reception where different people work.

📍 Assign location

Another action you can perform in your Device Info tab is assigning a location to a device. For adding locations to your deeploi platform, please reach out to us at hello@deeploi.io with the list of your required locations.

📝 Add notes

Additionally (and also in your Device Info tab) you have the option of adding notes to a device. You can use notes to add additional information about the current state or plans for a device.

🏷 Rename Device

All devices can be renamed on the deeploi platform. When clicking on a device in the device table you can perform this action via the three dots in the top right corner of your deeploi platform.

🚨 Renaming a device is (currently) not reflected on the device itself but only on the deeploi platform.

🗑 Remove device

You can also remove a device from your deeploi platform. Just like renaming a device you can access this action by selecting the device in the device tab and clicking on the three dots in the top right corner of your deeploi platform.

🚨 Removing a device from the deeploi platform means we are removing it from our mobile device management and also removing the cybersecurity software from the device. This means you cannot install software any longer and all settings and configurations set via deeploi do no longer work.
This action makes sense when you sell a device or at the end of a leasing contract. Please contact hello@deeploi.io if you have any questions.
